Antique geometric openwork brooch with an intriguing hand-riveted construction and early tube hinge with C-clasp closure. Crafted in a warm brass-toned, non-magnetic metal with a beautiful aged patina, this petite architectural design evokes Victorian, Edwardian, and Arts & Crafts aesthetics. Unmarked, approximately 1–1½ inches and 3 grams. A wonderful collector's piece with timeless Gothic revival charm, sold as found. There are markings on the back where it looks like people tested it for gold. I tested it under a 10K and it holds for a while then disappears which leads me to believe it's gold-plated not solid!
